Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace teaches how to properly apply first aid skills to save lives and reduce recovery time.  This course is ideal for emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.

CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace

CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace program teaches the skills to respond in a cardiac emergency. This course focuses on sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, airway obstruction, CPR, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Program content is based on the American Heart Association 2010 Guidelines for CPR and ECC as well as other evidence-based treatment recommendations.

Basic Life Support for the Professional Rescuer (also known as: Healthcare Provider CPR)

 

Basic Life Support for the Professional Rescuer program is designed for healthcare providers and first responders both inside and outside the hospital setting. The program covers sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, airway obstruction, CPR, and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Program content is based on the American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines for CPR and ECC as well as other evidence-based treatment recommendations.

Basic First Aid and CPR/AED Combination

This is a combination of the Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace and the CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace programs.

 

If you are currently certified or about to expire, you may take this “refresher” course.  We will review all topics covered in the full length classes, cover any new changes to the guidelines and you will be tested to measure your comprehension of the materials.  With a passing test score, you will gain certification for another 2 years.  Practice on the manikins is required for CPR certification.

Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)

Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS)

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. CABS stresses the priority to keep you and the children you care for safe.
